What Is Smooth Unpasted Wallpaper

Smooth unpasted wallpaper is a non-woven traditional wallpaper made of paper pulp material. It has no adhesive on the back. You will need to apply glue on the back before installing it on the wall. The pasting technique produces the longest-lasting results. Unpasted wallpaper typically has a thicker backing, which makes the material more durable and less likely to fall. 

We recommend hiring a professional installer to make the wallpaper installation process smooth and mess-free. • Our wallpapers are made up of paper pulp material with a matte finish. Therefore, they are free of harmful toxic chemicals. They are highly recommended in sensitive environments like nurseries, kid's rooms, schools, hospitals, and hotels.
  
  It is made of 90% post-consumer trash and 10% paper fiber. You can try to tear it, but it won't tear easily. Although made of fiber, it is much stronger than regular paper.

• Our smooth unpasted wallpaper can be used on any wall in your house, but not recommended for moist areas like bathrooms.
  
  If you want wallpaper in your bathroom, we recommend you use our Peel and Stick wallpapers, which are the best for moist spaces.

• After installation, unpasted wallpapers cannot be repositioned since the glue won't reactivate.

Installation Tips

• Check the moisture in the wall. It shouldn't exceed 4%(you can use a moisture meter). Excessive moisture can lead to the growth of mold or mildew, which will not sustain the wallpaper for an extended period.

• Wallpaper should not be hung over anything that might bleed through the vinyl, such as ballpoint pen markings, wax crayons, ink markers, oil-based stains, or foreign objects.
  
  It is important to check painted surfaces for pigment bleed-through. It is advised to mark wallpaper or walls with a lead pencil.

• Glossy surfaces must be sanded until they become dull, or professional R-35 heavy-duty primer should be applied.

• Install the wallpaper slowly and gently. Seriously you should keep up your patience.

• Before pasting, hold the strip of wallpaper on the wall and see where you want to paste it and if the pattern matches.

• When a building is being constructed, wallcovering should be done as a finishing step. Never hang the wallpaper while major renovations, painting, or general construction are ongoing.
